From scientific research to diagnostic innovation
Bilimetrix brings together clinical experience, scientific research and technological innovation with a clear goal: to make bilirubin measurement in newborns simpler, faster and more accessible.
Through the development of Bilistick®, we turn years of research into a practical diagnostic solution, designed to support healthcare professionals in assessing and monitoring neonatal jaundice.

A story rooted in research
Bilimetrix grew out of collaboration between medicine and scientific research, drawing on more than thirty years of experience studying bilirubin.
Their research identified several challenges in preventing kernicterus, a serious neurological complication of neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia: late diagnosis of jaundice, insufficient assessment of risk factors and difficulties ensuring adequate monitoring after hospital discharge.
These observations inspired the development of a new technology to make bilirubin measurement more accessible, helping enable timely diagnosis and informed clinical decisions.

Bilistick®: innovation takes shape
The result of this work is Bilistick®, a Point-of-Care diagnostic system developed to measure bilirubin concentration in neonatal blood using a small sample.
The combination of a portable reader and a dedicated test strip enables measurement directly at the point of care, reducing reliance on traditional laboratory infrastructure.
A solution that brings together research, technology and ease of use to support healthcare professionals in identifying and monitoring neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia.
Compact technology. An important goal: helping protect the health of newborns.
Discover Bilistick®Our mission
To make neonatal diagnostics increasingly accessible through innovative tools that support healthcare professionals in the early identification and monitoring of neonatal jaundice.
Our vision
To contribute to a future in which every newborn can benefit from reliable, timely diagnostic tools, regardless of the healthcare or geographical setting in which they are born.
Research continues
We believe in the value of collaboration between scientific research, medicine and technology. That is why we continue to advance solutions that address real clinical needs and make diagnostics more accessible.
